Description:
An expedition by sea-kayak and on foot around spectacular, remote north-east Kadavu, including a 3-night stay in a traditional village, with additional nights in back-packer resorts, and 2 nights' camping on remote beaches.
Educational focus:
Personal development and travel skills; outdoor recreation skills; Fijian language, culture and lifestyle; rainforest and coral-reef ecology; social and environmental issues facing South Pacific communities.
Main activities:
Sea-kayaking, trekking and snorkeling; village homestay and participation in daily life, including food-gathering and preparation, sports, education and ceremonies.
