kadavu island

Kadavu: remote, rugged, scenic, traditional, warm, friendly, unique.

The Kadavu Island group is found in the south of the Fiji Islands, in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean.

It is a remote and unspoiled place, with 80% of it's landmass covered in rainforest, surrounded by one of the world's largest and healthiest coral reefs.

The lifestyle of most of Kadavu's people continues largely unchanged from previous generations. There are few roads and no large towns. Small villages dot the coastline. Most people get around either on foot or by boat.
