fiji study programs

Each study program is adapted to fit the visiting group's curriculum, budget and schedule.
Suitable for all international student groups, of all ages.

As well as guided sea-kayaking journeys, Tamarillo Tropical Expeditions organizes and leads Fiji Study Programs for international student groups.

These journeys of adventure and learning give students the opportunity to experience life in island communities, recreate in an beautiful, tropical environment, and study the natural world within the forests, reefs, islands and waters of Fiji.

Each Fiji Study Program is a unique itinerary put together in consultation with the visiting group, with the duration and content of each expedition designed to fit the group's curriculum, schedule and budget.

Programs can include sea-kayaking, snorkeling, scuba-diving, trekking and participation in the day-to-day lives (work, recreation, ceremonies and customs) of the local people.

Accommodation options include:

- Kadavu Wilderness Lodge, Tamarillo's own traditionally-built Fijian guesthouse;
- simple back-packer resorts;
- home-stays in traditional villages;
- wilderness camping on uninhabited islands.

Tamarillo Tropical Expeditions' leadership team brings together New Zealand-based outdoor educators with indigenous Fijian guides - a combination which offers visiting groups international-standard risk management and program facilitation skills together with an immense depth of local environmental and cultural knowledge.
